MISSION & HISTORY.
Dear Donors and Friends,
As HHLU, we extend a warm greeting and wish to introduce ourselves. Approaching our fifth anniversary this spring of 2025, our commitment to serving the community remains steadfast. Serving our community has always been our primary passion, and as we navigate the challenges brought by COVID-19, maintaining nothing less than our best effort is non-negotiable.
Increased community involvement is essential to tackle the significant needs within our community. The pressing reality of our community's needs has become evident. Many individuals are actively seeking employment, and those without workers' compensation are left waiting in lines. Our homeless population mirrors that of many cities across the nation. Addressing hunger is a top priority for us, as numerous individuals we encounter are in dire need of food, housing, and employment – basic necessities.
Hence, we urgently require donations of shoes for children and adults, as well as clothing, household items, and toys for our upcoming annual Christmas gala. Your support will make a meaningful impact on those facing these fundamental challenges.
This year, our primary objective is to fulfill as many of these critical needs as possible. We sincerely invite you to join us in partnership for the collective wellbeing of our neighbors who are in desperate need of basic necessities. Your thoughtful consideration and support will play a pivotal role in making these aspirations a reality. The success of our programs directly translates to the success of our community as a whole! Your contributions, whether through donations, financial support, volunteerism, or prayers, are invaluable. Together, we are on a Crusade for Christ, dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of those we serve.
